parcul copou.

member how we love teo? welp. let the loving continue.
on saturday she spent her entire day with us, starting with attempting to fix amanda's computer, so the rest of us waited outside in some park thingy that's part of the neighborhood we were in.
and then teo took us to parcul copou (copou park - a lot like central park). which is completely beautiful. seriously, the number of trees was astounding, especially considering it felt like we weren't in the middle of a city anymore. mostly, it was completely beautiful. also, i felt like i was at temple square watching all the wedding parties taking pictures in the park. ha. minus the modesty. details. it was still funny, i must say.
i apologize now for the picture overload. now that all the touristy things are over and work has begun, it will never again be this bad. except on special occasions. obviously. i just can't help it! it's so pretty here. kills me.

sitting, waiting, wishing.

copou.

roslyn!
rebecca, melissa, and amanda.
the infamous teo, breezy, rebecca, melissa, amanda, and kylee.
i know, right??? holy trees!
 lil' joey!
 amanda and me.
 kylee and amanda.
i know, i know. did i mention i'm in love with romanians?
 baaaahahahahahahaha.
yeah, i don't even know. no one does. ha.
breezy was a wee bit excited. obviously.
teo let us all try this odd honey-breadish type thing. i don't remember the name, but it was delicious.
to cook it they wrap it around a rolling pin looking thing and then bake it. yeah. so good.
we ran into the elders at the park visiting an investigator.
don't even worry. he totally came to church the next day. not that we understood a word he said.
dinner at the holland restaurant! kylee and michael.
 rebecca and amanda.
stray dogs. the usual. haaa. there sure were four on this staircase. don't worry. it's fine.

as part of our time-killing, we just sat and people-watched at piața unirii (union square). so great. and hilarious. and it was so refreshing to see the more relaxed side of romania over the weekend, instead of the workday side. there's a significant difference, don't you even worry. and it was refreshing to see families with their kids in the square playing with pidgeons and running around freely. first off, the kids were dang hilarious and had some serious personality. second of all, after all we've seen of the family-less kids in romania, it was nice to finally see a bunch of kids with families that do love them, just out to play and have fun. it sounds stupid. but it's a big deal.
amanda, kylee, rebecca, breezy, melissa, roslyn, and michael. aka, the group fără eu.
i know right. serious attitude. haaa.
winner of the favorite kid contest. right up there. baaahaha.
best parts? suspenders, earring, attitude.

we spent the day loving iași and eating time until a traditional dance event thing being held saturday night. cultural proof? yes. i would post a picture or something, but i think you'd be scarred for life. probably. it was maybe kind of interesting. haaaa.
on the bright side, this was the weirdest one.
and here's a video of their version of singing in the rain.
haaaa. i think the best part is watching the little kids run around the stage.
maybe that's just me.
yeah.
