rain, violins, and baptisms.

the day before our trip, it rained. a lot. so naturally, we went to the park for the afternoon. and filled the day, leaving packing to saturday night before a sunday morning departure. natrally.
let's start a little simpler.
last saturday morning, i gave andrada a violin lesson, of sorts. and decided i think i want to teach lessons someday. it's a good way to force yourself to keep up skills. and i'll be honest: i liked it. and i miss violin a lot all the time. especially after the morning i spent playing her violin while helping her.
andrada.

in the afternoon, supposedly there was a pottery festival taking place in copou. so we decided to go searching for it, the roommates and me. we never found it. but copou was beautiful in the rain. and thanks to the rain, it was mostly empty. there's something about rain here that makes people disappear. and then as soon as it stops, they come out of nowhere. interesting fact about romania number seventy-five.
 me and mama rossles.
 amanda and roslyn.
mud!
the worms came out to play. and had the park to themselves. :)
this little gazebo reminded us of the sound of music. so naturally we ran around on top of the benches.

now that your eyes have been overloaded, just you wait. i haven't even finished. and i haven't even put up a post about our vacation yet! ahaha.
saturday evening was kol's baptism! it was the first time i'd ever been to a baptism for someone that wasn't 8 years old, and of course, the first time i'd been to a baptism in a foreign country and tongue. it was a really neat experience, and kol is a way nice guy. we're super happy for the newest member of the church of jesus christ of latter day saints in the iasi, romania branch!
everyone! kol is the tallest one in the center.
a few of us with jonina! she left last sunday to go work in italy. another branch member bites the dust.
our last view of the cultural palace for a week!

life's an adventure, eh?
also, i apologize for the fact that it may take a few days for a post about our trip.
an entire week of pictures and adventures? you're in for a treat.
but. for now, we're always tired.
almost all of us are sick in some way or another, on its way in or out - mostly out.
and, maybe it's just our apartment. but the whole sleeping thing has been highly unsuccessful for me lately.
i'm not a fan of tossing and turning on my sweet little couch/bed.
oh well.
c'est la vie.
